Through the blessings of His Eminence Archbishop Elpidophoros of the Greek Archdiocese of America, the Orthodox Metropolis of Eldoret and Northern Kenya received significant support for the Turkana Mission work following a generous donation from the clergy and faithful of parishes from the New York District.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The donation has made possible the purchase of motorcycles for clergy serving in remote mission areas, as well as contributing toward the construction of the St. Nicholas School Hall in the Orthodox mission in Turkana.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Metropolitan Neofitos of Eldoret, in a post noted, \u201cSpecial appreciation is extended to a benefactor from the Church of Our Savior in Rye, New York, who, out of deep love for the mission and the evangelism of the Word of God, singlehandedly donated all the motorcycles.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On this milestone occasion, the first six motorcycles were officially distributed in Turkana, enabling all clergy serving in the area to be fully equipped with motorcycles, significantly improving their ability to reach distant communities and carry out pastoral and missionary work effectively.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Reflecting on the moment, Metropolitan Neofitos drew inspiration from the biblical account of Gideon’s Small Army and God’s Big Intention, emphasizing that God often works powerfully through limited means. Rather than an abundance of resources, it is faith, obedience, and reliance on God that ignite true mission and evangelism.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The impact of this support is already being felt on the ground in Turkana, where God\u2019s power has not only been witnessed but experienced through renewed missionary zeal and expanded outreach.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Orthodox mission in Eldoret and all Northern Kenya<\/a> extended heartfelt gratitude to Archbishop Elpidophoros, the New York District clergy and faithful, and all benefactors for their generosity and prayers, which continue to place the mission \u201con fire\u201d for the glory of God.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
