Yesterday, Tuesday, June 24, Metropolitan Sevastianos of the Greek Orthodox Metropolis of Atlanta was joyfully welcomed in Kenya by Archbishop Makarios of Nairobi at the Metropolis headquarters in Nairobi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Alongside a delegation from the Metropolis of Atalanta, Metropolitan Sevastianos<\/a> and his team were warmly received and enjoyed a guided walk around the premises, experiencing the spirit and beauty of the community at the Metropolis of Nairobi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A special highlight of the visit was the stop at the Metropolis primary school, where ever-smiling and talented children treated the visitors to a delightful performance of instrumental music with their joyful melodies and warm hospitality, leaving a lasting impression on all.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Archbishop Makarios of Kenya, in his comment, noted, \u201cWe give thanks to God for such a blessed visit and the love and unity shared among us.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n

Metropolitan Sevastianos in Kenya for the consecration of the <\/strong>Cathedral in the Diocese of Eldoret<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

According to communication from His Grace Bishop Neofitos of the Holy Diocese of Eldoret and Northern Kenya, Metropolitan Sevastianos of Atlanta is officially on a visit to Kenya to take part in the consecration service of the first Cathedral of Eldoret Diocese dedicated to Apostle Mark the Evangelist<\/a>, build with support from faith the parish of St. Mark in Boca Raton, Florida, Holy Metropolis of Atlanta United States of America.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The historic consecration is scheduled for Sunday, June 29, at Kapsebet, Nandi County, Eldoret, Kenya, with expected attendance from various hierarchies of the Orthodox Church in East Africa and beyond.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In a recent video published on the Facebook handle of the Diocese of Eldoret and Northern Kenya, Bishop Neofitos extended a welcome to all Orthodox faithful and non-Orthodox to witness the historic moment in their diocese.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
