The Patriarch declared: <strong>\u201cWe do not forget, we do not forget, we do not forget our enslaved Cyprus,\u201d<\/strong> reinforcing a vision of resilience and hope.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Patriarch of Alexandria visibly moved by the tragedy<\/h3>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1280\" height=\"960\" src=\"https:\/\/orthodoxiapost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/patriarch-alexandria-cyprus-3.jpg\" alt=\"Patriarch Alexandria Cyprus\" class=\"wp-image-539\" srcset=\"https:\/\/orthodoxiapost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/patriarch-alexandria-cyprus-3.jpg 1280w, https:\/\/orthodoxiapost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/patriarch-alexandria-cyprus-3-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/orthodoxiapost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/patriarch-alexandria-cyprus-3-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/orthodoxiapost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/patriarch-alexandria-cyprus-3-768x576.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1280px) 100vw, 1280px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;With deep emotion, reverence, and prayer, here at the spiritual beacon of the Alexandrian throne, we offer this sacred memorial for the repose of the souls of our martyred brothers\u2014victims of the barbaric invasion of holy Cyprus in July 1974 and its enduring suffering.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Fifty-one years have passed since that tragic day when peaceful Cyprus experienced the destruction of war, injustice, and violence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Turkish invasion brought death, displacement, and occupation, leaving deep wounds that still bleed to this day. With every heartbeat, we proclaim:<strong> <em>WE DO NOT FORGET!<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We honor those who sacrificed for their homeland, freedom, and dignity.
