Saint Clement Orthodox Primary and Nursery School, a fully philanthropic institution under the Archbishopric of Kenya, held a joyful graduation ceremony today at its premises within the headquarters of the Archbishopric in Nairobi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event was graced by the Archbishop of Kenya and Exarch of East Africa, His Eminence Archbishop Makarios, who served as the chief guest. The ceremony marked the academic transition of 47 students, including graduates from Nursery to Grade One, Grade Six, and Grade Nine classes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Founded in 2003 by Archbishop Makarios, the school currently enrolls 421 students and operates on a purely philanthropic model \u2014 offering free education, meals, and support to underprivileged children in the community.<\/p>\n\n\n

In his address, Archbishop Makarios<\/a> reflected on his own childhood experiences, sharing that he grew up as an orphan and vowed to dedicate his life to bringing joy and hope to children in need.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAs long as I have strength, I will never stop helping the children,\u201d he said, urging the pupils to \u201cpray for me, for that is the only gift I ask of you.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Parents, teachers, and benefactors expressed heartfelt appreciation for the Archbishop\u2019s tireless commitment to the welfare of children. Many alumni of the school have since grown into productive members of society, working as doctors, teachers, nurses, and community leaders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The ceremony was attended by His Grace Bishop Constantine Mbonabingi of the Diocese of Juba and South Sudan, benefactors from Cyprus and the United States, and faithful members of the Orthodox Church in Kenya.<\/p>\n\n\n
