Extending Orthodox Faith through Humanitarian aid in Karamoja, Gulu Diocese Uganda

His Grace Bishop Nektarios Kabuye of Gulu officiated borehole in Karamoja

Early this week, His Grace Bishop Nektarios Kabuye of the Holy Diocese of Gulu and Northern Uganda officiated the blessing of a new borehole drilled in the Karamoja subregion as a means of extending the Orthodox faith and love in Christ through humanitarian aid.

“As we continue our efforts to extend the Orthodox faith in the Karamoja subregion, our other prime goal is to strive as much as possible to address the basic needs of our faithful. Just as Christ encourages us through the holy scriptures to live a holistic life (Romans 12:1-2), by His grace, we were able to drill another borehole to provide clean water to our faithful.” Reported on the Facebook page.

Orthodox mission in Karamoja re-energized in 2023

In 2023, with the support of the Orthodox Christian Mission Center – OCMC, we re-energized our efforts to spread the gospel of our Lord in this region, however, the process is not an easy one, but having Christ as the center of our mission, we are strengthened to achieve our mission and purpose.

On that note, therefore, we request you all our brothers and sisters in the Lord to join us in this cause. The challenges in this area are immense, but we must make the gospel known in all regions, irrespective of any hurdles.

Calling upon all your support for the glory of the kingdom of heaven on Earth.
