Inspired by the increasingly emerging need for publicity to ongoing events and activities of the Orthodox Faith on the African continent and beyond, our team found it a necessity to set up an independent news agency to gather and publish news and content related to Orthodox Christianity, hence, Orthodoxia Post.
Orthodoxia Post Vision
Our vision bearer started his journalistic journey in 2016 under the Uganda Orthodox Church after spearheading the founding of the ICT and Digital Media department which paved way for visibility of the Orthodox Faith in Uganda and Africa in general on an international level by designing a website and setting up various social media handles, which attracted enormous viewership in a short period.
The impact of the works displayed on the media platforms earned the Uganda Orthodox Church credibility in news transmission. This compelled personalities on the international level of Journalism in the Orthodox Church to engage us in participating in conferences on an International level for benchmarking and skills acquisition.
The conferences included the 2nd International Conference on Digital Media and Orthodox Pastoral Care in June 2018, where professionals in the media world of the Orthodox faith gathered to address issues pertinent to the field. This conference led to the establishment of an international news agency in the Orthodox world, dubbed Orthodoxia News Agency.
With the experience gained in the field of Orthodox church spanning over 10 years and collaboration with international news agencies like the Greek Reporter, we are optimistic that the future of Orthodox distribution news under our brand ORTHODOXIA POST is bright.
