On November 4, 2025, the Holy Metropolis of Accra, Ghana, received a consignment consisting of humanitarian aid from the Greek People dedicated to African brothers in Ghana.

With great joy and deep emotion, His Eminence Metropolitan Daniel of Accra received the 20-ton shipping container generously donated by the compassionate Greek people through the Orthodox Missionary Fraternity of Thessaloniki. The Fraternity undertook the full cost of the shipment and ensured the safe delivery of this valuable cargo to Ghana.
From the early morning hours, the youth and volunteers of the Holy Orthodox Archdiocese of Accra worked eagerly and wholeheartedly, assisting in the unloading of the container and the transfer of all the goods to the storage facilities of the Cathedral of the Transfiguration of Christ in Accra.
The items contained in the container — food, clothing, medical supplies, and other essential goods — will be distributed exclusively to the Orthodox Communities of Ghana, in order to support the thousands of faithful who face daily hardships. Through this generous act, the Orthodox Church continues to be a living witness of love, hope, and solidarity toward our fellow human beings.
The Holy Orthodox Archdiocese of Accra and our grateful Ghanaian brothers express their heartfelt gratitude to the Orthodox Missionary Fraternity of Thessaloniki, to its dedicated collaborators, and to all the donors who contributed with love and selflessness to this remarkable act of Christian charity.
