Gathering of the Orthodox Church Youth Committee of Ghana

On Sunday, May 25, 2025, the Metropolitan of the Orthodox Church of Ghana, His Eminence Daniel of Accra presided over a Hierarchical Divine Liturgy at the Parish of the Dormition of the Theotokos, in the Kasoa area of Accra, concelebrating with Fr. Aidesios, Fr. Irenaeus, and Fr. Joseph.

At the conclusion of the Divine Liturgy, His Eminence conferred the ecclesiastical title-rank of “Oikonomos” upon the Reverend Fr. Joseph Opoku Darko, an educator, in recognition of his dedicated service to the Orthodox Church in Ghana.

Immediately afterward, the interim Executive Committee of the “Greek Orthodox Youth Association of Ghana” convened to discuss matters concerning the proper organization and enhanced engagement of Orthodox youth in the country.

His Eminence Daniel addressed the youth, emphasizing the need for a stronger and more dynamic presence of young people within Parish Communities, which would offer hope and contribute to attracting new members to our Church.
